How do I care for my rubber bits?

Rubber bits, or bits with a rubber component, should also be washed regularly and checked for their condition. Indentations caused by contact with the teeth, for example, can result in sharp edges on rubber bits in particular, which can injure the horse.

Rubber

All SPRENGER rubber bits are fitted with a steel core to increase safety. Compared to metal bits, rubber bits are significantly softer and should not come into contact with the horse's teeth. Due to the soft material properties of rubber, SPRENGER does not provide a guarantee against bit breakage and tooth marks.
